It's a good life!



Jak the dog here!! I heard from some of my favorite friends that folks were worried about me since I hadn't posted to my dog blog since October. Sorry! I am doing just great but have been busy sniffing, licking and playing with our family's new baby. The baby is way more fun than I thought he would be. He gets yummy food all over his face and then holds still so I can lick it off. My mom says that won't last long because the baby is trying to crawl. Darn! But I will enjoy it for now. Being a dog is great!

Cousins Weekend II


It was a dog paradise at our human's 2nd annual Cousins Weekend. Lots of beach to run on, sticks to chase, and toys to eat. Cousin Charley dog and I were in heaven!! Below are some pictures of us playing with our new toys...unfortunately for the toys they did not stand the test of time. Charley and I destroyed them within hours.

Dog parties ROCK!!




My friends Chester and Henry invited Elsie and I to their annual dog party! This year it was called Chester's Cajun Def Jam. So much fun!! Elsie and I got new bandanas from Jodi and we got to sniff lots of dogs. We had tons of fun!!!

I'm sure there are lots of dogs out there who knew how to entertain themselves from birth. NOT ME! But I've got to tell you that I'm getting much better at it. Sometimes it seems like my toys are attaching me so I can go crazy and attack them back. So much fun!!

Jak the dog is 2 years old!!! Or 14 in dog years. We celebrated her special day by playing with Caddy dog...and taking a walk at her favorite park, Dorris Ranch. Love you, Jak dog!!

Luck o' the Irish!



Is Jak an Irish name?? Well, it should be considering what my feet looked like after my dad mowed our new lawn a few weeks ago! Who would have guessed that combining nice, little, white puppy feet and freshly cut grass would have such a funny outcome. The green did eventually wear off but it took a few days! I did enjoy my green boots while they lasted!

I have a new baby brother!



There's something in my house now that my mom and dad keep calling my "baby brother" but from what I can tell all it does is cry! It is cute and red and fun to lick...but for now I'm not really allowed to play with it. Bummer! But my parents keep saying that pretty soon I can play with my little brother and that it will be a lot of fun. I can't wait!! Elsie did get to come play with me when my little brother arrived home so that was fun. These pictures of me are when I'm laying on the blue carpet watching my mom hold my little brother. Sometimes babies are exhausting even for puppies!
